Didn't think I'd be doing this, but..

This song just catches me up and puts me in the wind again, and my heart is like that plastic bag from American Beauty, that horribly sad song, Killing Me Softly With His Song, and all of my teenage angst and anti-life in one great big walloping punch because it's honest and lovely and  just what I've always whispered and raved about to myself and non-discriminate others.

Helplessness Blues by Fleet Foxes

We can be so clearly defined by our generations and eras, and its terrifyingly made obvious when pieces of culture can come out and spear your soul down among thousands of others who feel alike.

What do you want done with your body after you die?
I want my body to be cremated and the ashes used to fertilize the planting of a sycamore or tulip tree.

I'm not a stalker, just a reader :D

I'm only posting this entry so that my journal isn't completely blank anymore. I created this journal so that I could read fanfic. I first came across fanfic about nine years ago, when I was ten. I stopped reading it when I was about thirteen. Last fall I was pulled back in, and my tastes in fanfic had changed drastically. To my bemusement, I discovered slash, which is one of my most favorite things about the internet. I've really only read Harry Potter fanfic, as there is so much of it, but I suspect that I'll eventually spread into other fandoms. My OTP is Snarry, and I have read many excellent fics by authors of this pairing. I recommend to anyone who read fanfic to read Lightning on the Wave's seven fic arc, as that is one of the best literary fantasy pieces I've rever read.
